Meet the Team

Sade Fapohunda
President, Founder

I’m Sade, a 15-year-old student from Alberta, Canada, with Ethiopian-Nigerian roots and a deep passion for celebrating culture and storytelling. This love inspired me to create Ubuntuu, a platform where young people can share their heritage, connect with others, and build meaningful relationships. My vision is for Ubuntuu to grow into a global community that empowers teens to embrace their identities and take pride in their cultural backgrounds.

Beyond Ubuntuu, I’m a Muay Thai fighter, a tubist, a science researcher, and a contributing writer. Whether I’m in the ring, the lab, on stage, or at my desk, I’m driven by curiosity, creativity, and a desire to make a positive impact. Through Ubuntuu and my many passions, I hope to inspire others to celebrate their heritage, pursue their dreams, and connect with the world in meaningful ways.

Kwasi Mensah
Vice President

I’m Kwasi, the Vice President of Operations at Ubuntuu, where I focus on creating seamless collaboration across teams and building systems that empower people and bring ideas to life.

As a 16-year-old student in the UK, I balance academics with my love for basketball and chess, which have taught me discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. I’m also passionate about STEM, constantly exploring how science and technology shape the future.

Being part of Ubuntuu excites me because it combines my interests in global connections, cultural exchange, and empowering young people. Together, I believe we can create a brighter, more connected future.

Ife Akinsiku

I’m thrilled to be part of Ubuntuu, a platform that connects teens of African roots worldwide. Through Ubuntuu, I hope to foster cultural understanding, build meaningful friendships, and create a global community where young people can learn and grow together.

Let’s work together to make this vision a reality!
